Our Italian member, Codime, is expanding and developing into the new GEWA Italia.

From January 2008, the electric material distribution market in Italy changes its landscape by the scission and expansion of Codime Spa. With the addition of new members, the group is now denominated GEWA Italia.

The decision to call the expanded group GEWA Italia is an absolute expression of an aim to work as a committed member, taking Global Electric GEWA all the way to the coming European panorama. GEWA Italia is born from a scrupulous view to the future. They represent a large number of businessmen who share the aim of building a new way to walk along together.

As well as its role in Global GEWA, GEWA Italia has the goal of protecting the Italian SMEs, keeping its independence and growth, in order to deal with the main competitors.

GEWA Italia has a significant size in the Italian market, with a sell-out over 700 m€ and 15% of the Italian market-share.
